Steninge Palace Cultural centre consists of a magnificent Baroque palace surrounded by formal gardens, a historic stone barn. As well as a glassblowing workshop, factory sale, garden sale, an art gallery and restaurant.

The palace was built in 1705 by nobleman Carl Gyllenstierna and Queen Hedvig Eleonora. The Queen summoned the royal architect Tessin the Younger to design the palace, and the court painter Ehrenstrahl to complete the imposing ceiling painting situated above the grand staircase. So take a grand tour of the palace or simply stroll around the Baroque gardens!

At Steninge Cultural centre, you can try your hand at glass blowing or candle making, dine at the Glasmästarfrun’s kitchen or shop for porcelain and glassware name brands in our factory outlet, all at a discounted price!

Every year Steninge Gallery presents an exiting exhibition. This year’s exhibition, Steninge World Exhibition of Art Glass 2008, features the work of glass artists from Sweden, Norway, England, Australia and USA, to name only a few! The exhibition is on from May 10th and ends Sept. 14th.

From Nov. 15th – Dec 23rd get into the Christmas spirit with one of Sweden’s most popular Christmas markets. Our indoor market features handmade crafts, Christmas decorations, as well as Christmas delicacies that the whole family will enjoy.

Opening hours

The Cultural Centre is open all year round Mon-Fri 11 am-7 pm and Sat-Sun 10 am-5 pm.
